Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project
The project adds 2 new units with a capacity of 240 MW, raising the total capacity of the entire plant to 2,400 MW, completing the Song Da “energy ladder” with a total capacity of about 6,000 MW alongside the Son La and Lai Chau plants.
The project utilizes 30% of EVN’s equity and 70% of loan capital, including a preferential loan of EUR 70 million from the French Development Agency (AFD). With milestones such as grid connection for Unit 1 in August 2025, rotor installation for Unit 2 in October 2025, and moving towards the completion of the entire project by the end of 2025, the project continues to demonstrate a high demand for construction capacity, heavy machinery, and specialized technical solutions.
Hai Phong LNG Power Plant
The Hai Phong LNG Power Plant is Vietnam’s largest LNG-to-power project under the National Power Development Plan VIII (PDP VIII), with a total investment of VND 178 trillion (approximately USD 7 billion) and a planned capacity of 4,800 MW.
Phase 1 (1.6 GW) is expected to achieve Commercial Operation Date (COD) by 2030, while Phase 2 (3.2 GW) is scheduled for completion in 2035.
According to project updates, the consortium led by VinEnergo is preparing EPC contracts, power transmission systems, and port-logistics infrastructure across a 98.5-hectare site. The project is expected to generate significant demand for construction materials, industrial equipment, and related engineering services.
Lao Cai – Vinh Yen 500 kV Transmission Line
Stretching 229.5 km and comprising 468 transmission tower foundations across the mountainous terrain of Lao Cai and Phu Tho provinces, the project was completed and inaugurated in October 2025—eight months ahead of schedule.
With a total investment exceeding VND 7.41 trillion, the project demonstrates strong demand for infrastructure construction capabilities, heavy equipment, and supporting solutions for strategic energy developments.

Soc Son Waste-to-Energy Plant (Hanoi)
The Soc Son Waste-to-Energy Plant is among the world’s largest waste-to-energy facilities, with a total investment of approximately USD 320 million by CNTY-EUZY Group. Utilizing Waterleau’s (Belgium) mechanical grate incineration technology, the plant processes 5,000 tonnes of municipal waste daily—equivalent to around 70% of Hanoi’s household waste—while generating 90 MW of clean electricity. This project reflects Vietnam’s growing focus on the circular economy and environmental infrastructure, creating new opportunities for industrial construction and environmental technology providers.
