Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV, Vinacomin) is Vietnam’s core state-owned group in coal and mineral industries. Established under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 345/2005/QD-TTg dated 26 December 2005, Vinacomin was formed through the restructuring of Vietnam Coal Group and Vietnam Minerals Corporation, and officially commenced operations on 1 January 2006. The Group is assigned by the State to manage and utilize coal reserves, bauxite and other mineral resources, and plays a central coordinating role across its member companies. With a sustainability-oriented approach, Vinacomin focuses on coal, minerals, power generation and industrial explosives, supporting national energy security and industrial development.
